All work
Vlnkovo
Yarn, needles, patterns and haberdashery, sold online and in a shop in Šamorín. The store is moving from Shoptet to its own PrestaShop 9, so the owners control the design, the data and the integrations, without losing the Google traffic they already have.

The brief
Vlnkovo sells yarn and everything around knitting and crochet, online and in its own shop. The new store gives the owners a design that feels like the shop, their data in their own hands, and a till and a website that agree on what’s in stock.
What moved
- About 500 products with variants and stock for 1,688 items, imported from the product feed.
- 184 customer accounts, moved without sending anyone an email, plus 161 shop reviews, blog articles and pages.
- 604 redirect rules for 596 old addresses. All 605 tested URLs answer with a 301 to a working page, so search rankings carry over.

The new store
A child theme of Alysum, built with Creative Elements.

Problems worth mentioning
- The till is the source of truth.Products and stock come from the Dotykačka POS through webhooks with polling as a safety net. Orders from the web go back to the till, so the shop floor and the website never sell the same skein twice.
- 417 products outside the menu. The import had mapped categories by name and grown a second tree. A one-off script rebuilt the catalogue under the right root; like every migration script it runs as a dry run unless told otherwise.
- Overrides that did nothing on PrestaShop 9.The class index lives in a new place in version 9. Until it’s cleared, the autoloader quietly generates an empty class and the override never runs.
- An honest review badge. The import from the old platform had marked every review as “recommends”, including one-star ones. The badge now appears only when there are real answers, and at least ten of them, which is also what EU rules on reviews expect.
- Ready for e-invoicing in 2027.Invoices are generated in the store with QR payment codes, and Peppol e-invoicing is written and waiting for Slovakia’s 2027 mandate.
